Most doctors polled say they would refuse to take chemo

In 1986, McGill Cancer Center scientists sent a questionnaire to 118 doctors who treated non-small-cell lung cancer. More than three quarters of them recruited patients and carried out trials of toxic drugs for lung cancer. They were asked to imagine that they themselves had cancer, and were asked which of six current trials they themselves would choose. Of the 79 respondents, 64 (81%) said they would not consent to be in a trial containing cisplatin, a common chemotherapy drug. Fifty-eight or 74% of the oncologists found all the trials using any type of chemotherapy unacceptable. What reasons did they give? Basically, they quoted the ineffectiveness of chemotherapy and its unacceptable degree of toxicity.

I call it the rule of 75's. Around 75% of doctors say they would refuse chemo, yet they prescribe chemo for 75% of their patients. I do not think it is coincidental that about 75% of the average oncologists income is derived from the huge markups they make on the chemo drugs they prescribe, do you?

Had to share this experience. Last year a friend of mine was ordering Clark's

recommended parasite herbs from a supplier and he told her this guy had just

come into his store to buy the same herbs. His wife had just been diagnosed w/

colon cancer and they were using all natural products, herbs, etc, also the Rife

machine.

The owner of the store asked him about why he wouldn't do chemo, etc., and he

said " I am " Head of Oncology " at the University of ______, and there's no way I

will do that to her. " Incredible. Wonder how he can live with

himself--teaching students the Big 3 but yet he won't do it himself. Maybe he

has rethought his conflicting position, who knows. You read that most

oncologists won't do chemo but here is a specific experience supporting that

it's true.
