friends,

i recently noted on this group that some people are sai baba

devotees. i find this surprising as i thought it was well known

throughout the world by now that sai baba is a sad--even evil--fraud.

similar to rajneesh.

i include 5 links on the web regarding sai baba exposes. there

are also entire TV shows and indian and foreign newspaper and

magazine articles dedicated to the exposes. the evidence is

irrefutable, and include photos of fraud, as well (related to his

sleight-of-hand tricks). there are additional photos, not in the

links below, that were printed on the front pages of some indian

newspapers, exposing his sleight-of-hand tricks.

this is not news. serious, documented allegations of wrong doing have

been surfacing for 25 years, and thus my surprise to find there are

still naive hangers-on. even among the western seekers when i started

my journey in 1977, it was common knownledge he was a phony. i think

it shows the power of wishful thinking, the willingness to give up

discrimination, and self-delusion that people still cling to false

hopes about this cretin.

given that sai baba is a homosexual pedophile, and his inner circle

implicated in at least 2 murders, it is not appropriate to sit around

quietly.

he is not merely a deluded or phony guru making a

comfortable living by

fooling disciples, as is so common in india and abroad. he is worse,

and has harmed many people, usually young boys. the truth must be

exposed. an attitude of "don't criticize other gurus or say negative

things" is the most dangerous kind of nonsense. this world is not a

heaven; it is full of deluded or evil charlatans; they must be

exposed and we must stand up to bullshit and evil.

whenever a so-called guru displays so-called magic, makes grandiose

claims about themselves, claims to be the reincarnation of another

guru (sai baba of shirdi) where that true guru's true enlightened

disciples refute this, and there are a steady stream of ex-disciples

claiming sexual abuse, it should be incredibly obvious that we are

dealing with a phony of the first order.

a real guru will exhibit the kinds of qualities one finds in Amma:

humility, no overt claims about herself, no magic or siddhis,

celibate, tireless selfless attitude, etc.

i urge people to run, not walk, away from the pathetic man called sai

baba, deeply investigate the allegations, inform others of the data,

and never throughout their lives be silent about warning others of

phony gurus. spiritual life is too important to screw up by

association with such fools.

i hope Amma (for whom i have the greatest respect) has not been

endorsing sai baba. if so, she needs to be told the evidence about

this man, and warned.

I agree with you 100%. When I was in India at Amma's ashram

about four years ago Amma told certain devotees who were also

devotees of Sai Baba that she was their spiritual mother and that

Sai Baba was their spiritual father and that it was okay to love

them both. I don't know if she still says this. The thing I find most

miraculous about Amma is her loving heart. I think that the

miracles attributed to her, like her turning into Lord Krishna for

example, are told only to inspire. So many people looking for

spirituality give up their intellect and power. I think that these parts

of human beings along with our souls, spirts, and emotions, and

our physical bodies are all parts our divinity. It is dangerous,

childish, and irresponsible to caste away common sense. In my

opinion, when a person does this they are as good as a

brainwashed member of a cult. Barrie On 7 Dec 00, at 22:23,
