Dear Moksh,

Sachidananda is a combination of thrree words- attributes:

Sat = existance, truth, real.

Chit = consciousness

Ananda = bliss.

conscious blissful existance.

These are the tree qualities of god and insidently these are the three qualities of the innermost self - adman, in every being.

Parama hamsa literally translated means supreme swan

Swan is the upanasadic symbol for soul. Hence paramahamsa means supreme soul - transcendandal soul.

In one sense it vagain refer to god as god is the suprime soul. in another sense it refer to any soul who has elivated to such a purity of swan - Saint of a very high purity.

Parama hamsa also is a title of certain class of sanyasies who follow strict celibacy and carry a palasa dhanda. - a stick of palasa as a sign of spiritual authority.

Brother has said it all. It indeed are the qualities of the Atman and all these three are interdependent and stay together. If there is no Sat, Chit and Anand does not arise. If chit is absent Sat cannot experience Anand, and when Anand is not there, Sat and Chit has no meaning and is unimportant. The catch here is, You can realise the supreme if you either realise one of the three, the rest two follows. The sadhak has to be smart here.
