Guest guest
Thanks for posting this recipe and all the info, Gary. I just added the recipe to our files under 'dressings and marinades'. I kind of like the idea of making my own from scratch instead of using the bottled brands. I think once this bottle I have is gone I will do that... or maybe sooner so I can compare the flavors. *s* ~ P_T ~ Just as appetite comes by eating so work brings inspiration. -Igor Stravinsky, composer (1882-1971) ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~> , Gary Mattingly < gsmattingly@a...> wrote: > Vegan Worcestershire Sauce > > Ingredients: > > 6 Tablespoons water > 4 Tablespoons tarmari soy sauce > 2 Tablespoons apple cider vinegar > 6 Tablespoons apple juice concentrate or brown rice syrup > 1 teaspoon blackstrap molasses > 1 teaspoon powdered ginger > 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder > 1/8 teaspoon ground cayenne pepper > a pinch of onion powder > a pinch of powdered cloves or pumpkin pie spice > > Directions: > > Blend all ingredients. Guest guest
http://www.jewishfood-list.com/recipes/condiment/worcestershireveg01.html Haven't tried it (have the book). Stepaniak has one in " UnCheese, " but (a) I'm not keen on all the rice syrup and it has less spices overall, and (b) she isn't too keen on people publishing her recipes (even with credits) on the Web. I know this from some e-mail exchange with her a few years ago. FYI, Mark http://www.soulveggie.com
