No one pretending here. They are asking what is the defination of Dalits. Frankly speaking, I'm interested also. Who are this Dalits? How does helping them will help Hindusm? Have ANYONE here (regardless of race and caste) have been ill-treated by Brahmins before? I personally say I have not.

I think Mystism in Hindusm comes from Shiva Beliefs. Many of this beliefs went to China and formed Tao beliefs which very similar to what they have in India (among Shiva Mystics or Siddhars). Matter a fact, did you know that in Shintosm (Japanese religion before Buddhism), they have similar concept of ONE giving rise to TWO which made the Universe? Same concept can be found in Hindusm - Concept of Trinity. Unfortunately, many Hindus don't know this.

Sorry, I don't believe that studying a scripture and following it blindly will change your attitude from Tamasic to Rajasic. From Genetic Science point of view, that could be impossible also. Take story of Parasurama Avatar ... His two brothers were born with Rajasic qualities but He alone born with Tamasic quality due to influence of His grandparents (His grandmother was a Kyastria princess). No matter how much Parasurama meditate and prayed, He couldn't change His natural born nature and finally, what He do? He went and learn Art of War with Lord Shiva in order to control His nature. I could say Hindus nowadays have wrong impression that a person can change his nature just by following some scriptures, locking away his emotions inside and pretending you are someone who you are not.

This is not easy, you know. I work in a place where most of the top management are Christians and Muslims and many of them have no problem you lie and cheat but have problem if you follow rules and regulations and conduct your duties properly. Sometimes, it's so frustrating working with this sort of adharmic people.

by Yegan I live in a small island hardly larger than 2000km2. It is extremely common to have a mosque, and within few metres away a Kovil(Hindu temple) and few metres away from the Kovil a church. I know a Buddhist temple which situated right next to a Christian church and in my home area, there is a Mosque right across the street from a Murugan temple. Question ... SO WHAT? You think they (Muslims and Christians) built their shrines next to yours because they love you so much? No, they built it there so they can riddicule your belief and pull the members of your society who are weak-hearted and weak-minded toward them. It is people like you who think they are so peaceful and tolerant. In my circumtances it would be a great sin for me to pray for so called 'adharmic' person(because of their different beliefs and way of life) to perish. And yeah, I have Christian friends also (I don't attend to keep Muslims as friends). I have one who went to UK and living there with her husband. I have several Christian friends in my own work area. SO WHAT? When I said Adharmic people, you MADE mistake in thinking that ALL Muslims and Christians alone are adharmic. You are wrong ... when I said Adharmic people, it means ALL people who have different beliefs (other than what they suppose to follow according to their own religion) and way of life (different from what stated in their own culture and religion). If a Hindus claims to be Hindu but drink alcholol, have adultery, cheat and lies and performs all kind of adharmic activity, is he still a Hindu? To you, maybe he is but to me, he is not. He is adharmic followers and I will wish him to perish so others could take his place and live proper life. Two great kovils had been opened for public - the Batu Caves with its 100 (plus) ft Murugan statue and Marang Murugan temple (which opened 1 month after I went there - drove there with some friends on the way to visit my relative). Indian societies organised seminar on Ramayana, Bhavagad Gita, cultural festivals like Pongguls and such and this not only attracted Hindus from this country but also foreign imbassardors who came to Malaysia and required more about Hindu culture. My prayers now is, that Hindu Society could gather together, do proper reorganizing so young ones could get proper educations.

Here's my theory : 1. Romans are out to get Jesus and Jews do not protect him (because he had twisted the Scriptures and therefore, kicked out of the Tribe). 2. Jesus needed a fanatic follower - someone who follows without question. He choose Iscariot. 3. Jesus told Iscariot to tell Romans about his whereabouts, telling Iscariot that he was doing God's work. 4. Iscariot went and told the Romans, got paid. Romans arrested Jesus and tried him. Jesus was sentence to death. 5. Iscariot came and see Jesus, somehow, exchange places with Jesus who vanished. 6. Iscariot get cruficied in his behalf and Jesus reappeared as if from the Death. In the Bible, it is stated that when "Jesus" was been left to die, he called out "Father, why you have abandoned me?". Many of Christian priests take the title "father" so what if the one he was calling is not God but Jesus? Also, it stated in Gospel of Judas that Jesus told Iscariot that he (Iscariot) will be cursed by generations after him BUT he will raised to rule over them (something similar to this). This fits perfectly. Judas was used to potray Jews who didn't help Jesus thus their beliefs are called JUDAism. Yet Christians used image of Judas (not Jesus) who crucified as symbol for their god.

So ... what's your problem? Why should anyone (who is not Christian or Muslim) should be bothered if Christian and Muslims fight and die?

I don't think when Vyasa categorized it, it means to insult the Puranas but to show which sort of people should learn and understand easily which sort of Purana. Satvic quality means peace-loving, tolerate, calm etc - therefore, people who have such qualities should learn puranas which have similar qualities also. Same goes for other two qualities also. People should accept that they are born in one of this three qualities and stop pretending they are something else (like Tamasic quality people pretending to be Satvic simply by holding back their anger at the World's imbalance). Frankly speaking, I'm a Tamasic person - I get angry easily, got a lot of Asuric quality in me, eat meat (but control what I eat) and such. I'm not ashame of what I am, and I continued to study my own Scriptures and other religions.

And what will promote Hindusm? Getting down on their hands and knees and BEG? That is what Indians in Malaysia are been pushed into, sadly, the hand which does pushing are hands of those who claims to be Hindus also - MIC (Malaysian Indian Congress). They demolished over 1,000 Tamil schools and I have seen many new Islamic Schools (Sekolah Agama) in its place. 60% of ALL Indian children in Malaysia is stated to be uneducated, even in basic levels, WHICH was agreed by Muslim government to provide for them. They even tried to demolish Indian Temples 3 years ago but the pressure was too much that they decided not to get involved in it. Again, the so-called "Indian Leaders" stepped forward and talk nonsense about peace and tolerance. Trust me ... IF you are a Hindu, you will see that this path IS the ONLY path available. Let those who are Adharmic in beliefs and ways of Life PERISH. And 2 days is enough. You speak as if you ridicule me. Faithless people does that. I have seen a lot of changes in my own society since I have started my fasting to help the society. Indian youths cames together, promote their beliefs and culture, problems regarding Indian (and other) societies are been shown so INDIANS (not Muslims) could come together and help. So trust me, it will work. More and more Adharmic people will perish also, small price to pay.

Atheism is NOT about finding truth, it is Self-Denial. That is what I learn dealing with Atheists in one of their forums. They do not want to learn anything, they just want to deny anything which you could want to believe in their own foolish notions. Atheists are waste of human existence. Christians have been making all sort of claims and misinterpretation of the 10 Commandments and Old Testament for years. No need to complain anywhere. Even Jews don't bother about it anymore. After all, how can you bother to take anything seriously from a society which potray 10 Commandments (two of them is they be nice to their neighbours and they do not commit adultery) WHEN Christians make war for nearly 500 years and Christian nations are biggest producers of porn materials?

Did Sri Krishna or Sri Rama stated anywhere that you should sit down and pray for your thoughts to vanish when Ravana appeared or Duryodhana and his brothers pull Draupadi's saree? Keep daydreaming that problems is yourself and you will become problems for others, especially other Hindus who want to do something more useful than just praying for their thought. And besides, I think you misunderstood when I said Dharmic and Undharmic people here. You probably thinking I referring to Christians and Muslims alone. WRONG assumption. Last year, there was famine crisis in Nigeria. Hundreds of (Muslim) children were starving and I decided to fast and pray for them. God willingly, help came in form of relief effects 3 days later and it is shipped to relief camps. 2 days later, news via .com came that this shipments were hijacked by Guerillas (Muslims also) and the children I tried to help continued to suffer. I was really So tell me, WHY should I pray for people like those guerillas to vanish? As long as adharmic people like that exists, there will be NO peace and weak people will continued to suffer. Strange? I don't see Him as strange? Like I stated in another thread, I see Shiva-Shakti relationship as Power and Control which exists in Nature. So, I think if someone sees Him strange, it is because they don't have proper understanding on how the Power and Control works. You should study Nature and how the World exists in perfect Nature, maybe then you could undertand Him a bit.

What are you so worried about? "The End" is fearful only to those who do not know the full facts. In Terms of Beginning and End, we are at the End only so a New Beginning could be reestablished. Science stated clearly that there had been at least SIX Global Extinction and 23 smaller ones since Cambrian Explosion. BTW ... I believe that the Six Major Extinctions World faced before corresponds to SIX Avatars of Vishnu (not including Sri Rama and Sri Krishna of course) and currently working on an agreeable hypothesis. by Yegan What about: Righteous (Dharmic) people should live and be happy while those who not righteous (adharmic) people receive mercy and become righteous? Sorry, I don't believe in Adharmic people should receive mercy or care for them to become righteous. I picture the World as a Tree, with the green Canopy on top as Heaven, the roots underground as Hell and the Physical World as the Trunk. Therefore, we need adharmic people in Hell in order for the World to grow. And we need righteous people in Heaven to continue to pray, perform penance and sacrifices for ALL (including Hell's descendants). ONLY then the Tree will grow and produce many good fruits (Enlighten Beings). by Number 2 Good statement ... you do it your way. I believe in Deep Magic - that there is Flow (from God to Physical World) that governs the World and the Universe around it, and that Man can influence that Flow to reshape his own World through Prayers and Penance. That's my way.

Don't blame Brahmins alone. Weak minded people loves to blame others. Before you point fingers at others and judge whether others are living properly according to Hindusm or not, go and see yourself first. Judge yourself whether you are living according to Hindusm or not.

That's the question which most devoteed Hindus could ask. They learn about Hindusm, practise it as best as possible and teach others about it but there still something which is not sufficient. What is it? How to help Hindus and Hindusm in general? This is my suggestion only; those who wish to do it, can do it and those who wish not to do it, no harm done. I think what Hindusm needs here is more Hindus who are willing to pray and sacrifice for their beliefs. Fasting for God and then giving their merits (upon completion of the fast) to God is a good way. I do this every Tuesday and Fridays (during working period). My prayers is simple - "Righteous (Dharmic) people should live and be happy while those who not righteous (adharmic) people should PERISH." So far ... there have been some positive changes in my own society, so give it a try.

You know ... it is people like this which makes India look outdated, despite of its rich heritage. First of all ... register ... you sound like talking to yourself. Secondly, stop looking at something from inside a nutshell. You question Ayurveda's effects and genuine without knowing a few facts. 1. Ayurveda is still the cheapest and best affordable health-care system in India, especially among poor villagers. Those jokers from modern medicine cannot possibly afford to treat everyone as cheap as Ayurveda practitioners. That is one mark of its effect on society. 2. It was India Medicine and Science (not present-day so-called Science but Ancient Hindu Science) which gave rise to today's so-called Science. Arabs stole from India the knowledge, sell it short to Europeans who developed it without adding soul into the practise and now, that product had come to India to question the very source which it arised from. 3. Did you know that many of the Hindu system like Ayurveda, threpautic massage etc which exists in India were imported to China and from there to other countries like Japan? I bet you don't ... frogs inside coconut shells usually don't know whether the sky is blue or black (sarcasm). While in China and Japan, such practise as Shiatsu etc is considered to be effective and well-sorted after (in a society which is the MOST advance in the World ... The funny and trully sad things about this is, this same drugs which created out of stolen knowledge of Ayurveda will return to India, taken by ignorant and arrogant Indians who busy trying to be like Westerners and this jokers will turn around and riddicule Hindu systems without knowing that the drugs which they use comes from the very source they are riddiculing.

Spiritualism has a branch in Science also and one of the branches of Science is Biology. According to Biology, Man are NOT born as equals. So, when God gave Man religion, He remembers that it was He who spread the people across the globe, gave religions according to the places where they had settled down and told them to search out and relearn about one another (which India failed to do for the past 50 years by locking itself away from other Asian neighhbours and rely solely on Westerners). So, truth (in Religion) IS based on Regional Affiliation.

And Tamil movies does a great job showing how great this jokers are and how "low caste" should behave. One way of getting out of this problem is by redistributing the land to this so-called "lower caste" people so they could work together (in a group) to plant and harvest crops. Children from their own villages should be educated so they could administrate their own village, resources, crops and such. Government should deal with them straightaway and not through middle-men like this so-called "upper class".

You need to change your sexual energy into other form of energy. Conversion is not happening so your sexual energy still trapped inside of you with no way of coming out. My suggestion - take up sports which requires a lot of physical workout. Release those energies out before you burn along with it. I take up Martial Arts (Swordmanship) to control mine.
