Guest guest
Gregory Goode [goode] Hi Tony, Yes I plan to - will post observations later. Amituofo, --Greg Greg what is Amituofo. It suggests to me, "I love Tofu." I know I am wrong about that. It probably means obeisance to Amitabh Buddha, right? (Although he may have liked tofu too). I have not had tofu in a while. Nice to hear from you Amituofo Harsha

Guest guest
Hi Harsha, Thanks for bringing a smile! Yes, Amituofo means "the Buddha of Infinite Light and Infinite Life." And then, "Namo Amituofo" means "Homage to the Buddha of Infinite Light and Infinite Life." Like Tony's "Om Nama Shivaya." Actually, I don't like tofu unless it's very well camouflaged. But soy beans have amazing adaptability. Chinese Buddhist chefs can use it to make vegetarian beef, pork, duck, chicken, fish, shrimp, etc. I love the mock pork, beef and chicken - and for me, even if I had never liked a meat taste, these mock-meat preparations are some of the tastier ways to cook tofu.
