Guest guest
Namast All, As I understand it. The enquiry result in driving the mind inwards by living the question. It then becomes apparent there is no small 'I' or 'Ego', only Brahman. I haven't reached moksha myself of course but my experience is that the ego is replaced by an expansive feeling. Which no doubt has to be worked on and developed, for this is the energy of Maya. Beyond that is Nirguna Brahman and the realisation that is all, and moksha was not something to gained but with us all the time. With regard to other yogas, Ramana talks to people at their level or belief system. ONS Tony.
Guest guest
Dear Tony, With regard to "Who Am I?" ~ from *my* exposure, there is no answer. Self -enquiry is a method used to quiet the mind; touted as the most direct method leading to Silence, where all sadhana is 'appearing' to lead. Can you see by your post below that you have now contradicted much of what you said prior, i.e. "I haven't reached moksha myself..." "...for this is the energy of Maya"... and is this not illusion. We can metaphorically chase our tails endlessly with words. I understand the essence of what you are intellectually sharing here, but the reason I have been posting to you is because ....... Love to you , ~jessica ps Amanda, I've started a post to your post to me. Just limited with the old illusory time here! - "Tony O'Clery" <aoclery > Namast All, > > As I understand it. Guest guest
Dear Tony, You write: > As I understand it. The enquiry results in driving the mind inwards by > *living the question*. It then becomes apparent there is no small 'I' or > 'Ego', only Brahman. And Brahman dissolves into 'I'. (Huh?) When one eventually stops "living the question" and recovers one's "unquestioned being", when the asking part of the question "Who am I?" disappears, only "I" self-evidently "AM". who am I? - who am? = I Does that look simplistic? It is indeed that simple! When I spoke Dutch and reached (?) moksha, the only word I kept saying and repeating was ik, ik, ik. Now that I mostly speak English the only word left saying and repeating is I, I, I. who am I? - who am I? = 0 When I stop speaking any language whatsoever, there is zero, zilch, 0, nothing left to be said. But I will not jump the gun. I will not prematurely enter nirvana. As long as there is you, I am as here well. (Such is bodhisattva!) Us, remaining lovingly. > I haven't reached moksha myself of course but my experience is that > the ego is replaced by an expansive feeling. I appreciate your clarity. (There maybe ppl. who find Tony all words, no substance... but this guy is working at it!) Keep going, Tony! (No, I am not fascetious.) Love, Wim. Beyond all of the effort and all of the experiences came a time of simple inquiry. The answer was a resounding 'nothing' I am nothing...the freedom and bliss of the 'nothing'....leaves little to say.
