Absolutely! As I wrote elsewhere, only *illusion* in which desire leads to suffering is to be extinguished. Otherwise "illusion as illumination", divine energy turning into light, light turning into matter (which is the original meaning of 'maya') and matter to be illuminated with the divine light of con-sciousness, is to be enjoyed. That is the glory and bliss that is to be in us, which we are to be and which we are to be in. That is Divine Lila and Child's Play Be That As It May :-) And if it is to be, it will be, and if it will be it is that already We will we will we will discover that we are (the) ONE already... And if we *will* discover it we have discovered it already !!!!! Aha? Aha! Why not then enjoy it already, so that later, when we recognize that we are (the) ONE, that we haven't wasted energy, time and space by not enjoying it blissfully and childlikely. This is the miracle, this life. This is divinely created reality. Love it, do not leave it! (Sorry for the pun.) Love, Wim

Oh dear I have been guilty of both, but when you see what you have been holding onto as real which was not, then you realise that getting your ass kicked to let go, is compassion. >I tend to think of him as the force that turns the coal into the diamond. Yes. We do resist too don't we? :-) >There is another story as to how Ganesha wound up with the head of an elephant. It seems that Shani had angered the gods and as a punishment anyone that he looked upon would die. When Parvati gave birth to Ganesha all of the gods gathered to pay their respects and Shani also came along >but would not look directly at Parvati's baby. She asked him why and when he told her her about the punishment she laughed and told him to look at her baby....he did so and the baby lost his head. Being very >angry she took away Shani's ability to walk. Hi Linda. Someone told me that saturn was Shiva (?) Yes? No? In any case, when I hear Osho talking about becoming headless or mindless & I see alchemical pictures of heads being cut off to turn lead into gold, then I relate that to getting out of that ole discriminating head which demands the rational & unfortunately uses memory rather than present moment spontanteity to do it. Perhaps his getting his head cut off by the still silent one, was compassion in action? The head is so active. His head turned into a little mouse & he sits on it & steers it now instead of letting it run all over the place (joke). Or maybe it's one of the coachmen from Cinderella's pumpkin coach?:-) >Siva returned and placed the elephant's head upon his son. Since Shani had looked at Ganesha only at Parvati's command Siva did the best he could to take away the curse of Parvati. He could not completely do away with the curse so while Shani walks he does so with a limp. Ganesha is Jupiter and when Jupiter acts out of control one's ego generally swells along with great acts of impulse. Shani will generally cut into the swollen ego >to bring one back balance. I really liked Nitin's sharing about Ganesha's special devotion to his mum. It seems to me that we come to stillness through the Mother of action (Shakti). We are active after all (in our play) & intimately connected with Mother. I may be getting all this out of whack. I really know so very little about them all. But Shiva I see as transcendental source & Shakti as all the waves arising from that ocean (action). Feel free to explain how all the rest arise out of That! > It's fun to share this with someone.
