Yogananda and Ramana Maharshi

Thanks for sharing that Sradda. Ramana Maharshi's approach was so radically

different than that of Swami Yogananda and many other yogis. Yet the Sage of

Arunachala was constantly visited by the traditional swamis and masters his

whole life. For those who were ripe, a mere glance of Ramana was enough to

ignite the fire of wisdom which is all consuming. Here is something I wrote

earlier.

 

"The greatest Shankracharyas and Yogis of India sat at the feet of the Sage

of Arunachala, Ramana Maharshi, to catch a glimpse of his eyes. Fully

immersed in the ocean of consciousness, His life was that of utterly

spontaneous immaculate purity. His light shone like the fully risen Sun

bathing in Its Own Eternal Luster. Truly, nothing really can be said of

Ramana to describe Him adequately. He Is the Heart."

Yogananda and Ramana Maharshi

 

 

Dearest Friends,

My Guru, Paramahansa Yogananda visited the Great Sage

Sri Ramana Maharshi in 1935. He quoted him in his "Autobiography of A

Yogi"-

Dualities and trinities on something do hang,

Supportless they never appear;

That support searched for, they loosen and fall.

There is the Truth. Who sees that never wavers.

 

I have been priviledged to have and study The Great Saints "The

Spiritual Teaching Of Ramana Maharshi." It is wisdom for the ages

that I wish all could find. I read a very moving account of Sri

Ramana Maharshi in the book "Journey To Gorakhpur."

 

How happy to be able to share this love with all of you.

I wonder if those 'eyes' can live through others eyes who love & are

in tune with Him? When I went to see Vartman he stares at everyone

deliberately holding their gaze for a long time. It was quite magical

the atmosphere in the room. I could feel Ramana's sweetness after

that, whenever I looked at Ramama's picture. I never knew Ramana was

sweet before that. Yet I feel that Vartman is clarifying personality

too ;-) he is no Ramana though is special. The next day was quite

flat. Do we all share each others energies at times? Do we share

something of our Guru's energy too?

 

I sometimes see little children wearing their mother's vibration. It's

remarkable what we come here to taste & wear as Self .. When we meet

higher representatives of the One then we may expand it seems.

Oh Markie thankyou. That was sweet of you to say that.

 

(That's what I call my brother Mark :-)

 

It was funny cause Vartman was shocked when he looked in my eyes cause

I looked back!

 

Does the same Being look out through all our eyes (yet with markedly

different shades & hues reflecting?). How are our vibrations different

to make the song of life? And how are we exactly the same? How does

the unity & the duality communicate with Itself? I think it loves the

dance of masculine & feminine as each other ..

 

Is stillness masculine?? Is vibration feminine? I like playing with

the song.
