Hello everyone. I've been suscribed to this group for a few months now, but I

have been too shy to speak up- you know how some groups are really clique-y?

But now, I feel like saying hello. So, hi- my name is Christina, I'm 17 years

old, and I want to meet/ talk with as many people as I can, considering

spirituality. My friends don't "get" my views, and my parents are open, but

only to an extent.

But anyhoo...I just wanted to come out of my little "cave", and I hope that

I can gain some insight (possible?) while I'm in here. :)

Namaste,

Christina

Hello Maureen,

I have been extremely busy lately and when I came home tonite, there were

340 unread messages in my emailbox!!!!

I was brave enough to peek (as I am still and will be very busy through the

weekend) but I was drawn to open your message and what a pleasant surprise.

Welcome to the egroup. I look forward to your sharing here.

Love,

jessica

Christina Hi,

Im also new here, but I fell I can escpecially indentify with you, because I

myself am only 18 years old and have and still am tackling alot the problems

that you mentioned.

One thing I knew that was particulary hard for me was having no one to speak

to about my views, and while absorbing as much as possibly from books I

really had no forum to form my own views or analyse the information I was

getting other than deep contemplation on the concepts and how they related

to me. I held on while bugging my friends trying to speak about my views to

them. I realised I was only trying to realise what it is I thought myself.

Well I can give you my opinion here which is that people do not like having

beliefs pushed down their throat in anyway (I know I don't) and if your

friends are not intrested in the subject there should be no push to make

them so. Do not try to loose your own friends, this will only hurt you and

your friends (i know I considered this) instead try to be as good as a

friend as you always were (if not better). After a rough period my friends

were very good about it all. I respected they were not intrested but I will

offer advice and spiritual wisdom if they are in trouble. They respect the

way I feel about things and do not interfere with that. I respect the way

they feel about things. It is not hard to build a harmony with beliefs of

any kind.

Well I started to ramble a bit there....

I hope to hear about your experiences and views....
