Guest guest
Frankly Ivan-Ji, you are a breath of fresh air. Your comments and insights are penetrating and deeply honest. I am very grateful to you for saying it as you see it. It truly gives me great joy and puts a smile on my face. Sharing honestly and directly with mutual respect and good humor is the best we can expect from each other. With lots of love and hugs Harsha Ivan Frimmel [ivanf] Thank you, Sri Harsha-ji for your kind words and encouragement, and for recommending Greg to peruse my paper. I hope Gloria will get back on line soon. Regarding my search for a "perfect language": Ever since I remember I have been interested in words, language and communication, probably as means to obtain (unconditional?) love. I always wanted to understand (and love?) everybody, and to be understood (and loved?) by everybody. That's why I always try to adapt my way of talking to the person I am talking to, and try to understand the real meaning behind his/her words... - I suppose just like you and many other people... It always makes me rather sad, and often quite angry, that at 54 I am still being misunderstood a lot, and I still don't understand all people's "language" and thought... Very frustrating. However, I still (foolishly?) keep trying, and hoping that maybe one day I will get it right, or maybe stop being so anxious about getting it right. Participation in these Advaita groups taught me a lot about this - and I am still learning new things about myself and others every day. Thanks for being part of it all. Namaste, Ivan.
