Ill Intent

There

are probably

no occurrences more possessed

of a subtle beauty

than the frustrating difficulties

and serious tragedies

brought forth

from the ill intent

of others.

How better to

challenge that ineffable

quality of compassion

and forgiveness

of which we may speak

so often,

and practice

so infrequently.
