Guest guest
It might help to give the Spiritual Emergence Network (SEN) a call. They can help your friend find a matching guide to help him learn from/work with/and comfort the anxiety. I have had similar and very intense panic/anxiety associated with my awakening and it has actually been a very important teacher to me...by paying attention to it, asking what it is about and what it wants to tell me about caring for myself, but not by trying to get rid of it or ignore it. though i am from the bay area, i believe the SEN is all over the country. There is bound to be a practitioner affiliated with SEN in New York State. Keep the faith. This too is for good. kindly, laura k >Gregory Goode <goode > > > Help with Kundalini yoga >Wed, 10 Jan 2001 17:00:19 -0500 > >This is an area I know very little about. Guest guest
Hello Greg, I see you've received a # of responses and varied advice on this matter. Here's one more bit of information that you can pass on to your friend. The Healing Tao Center is located in New York. There is a book called Awaken Healing Light Of The Tao that your friend could first peruse. In it there is information about Kundalini gone awry and the ' prescriptive cure'; the Microcosmic Orbit as taught by Mantak Chia or one of his trained practitioners. Mantak Chia was the first to introduce Chi Kung/Qi Gong to the west. According to the 'Taoist qigong or Chi Kung way' there is too much 'heavenly'/Heat/Yang energy coupled with , insufficient 'earth'/cooling/grounding/Yin energy. The Microcosmic Orbit is a viable qigong method that does work for the problems associated with kundalini. It is both stabilizing and makes the process smooth. Paths, places, sights, perceptions, and indeed all experiences arise from and exist in and subside back into the Space of Awareness. Like waves rising are not different than the ocean, all things arising from Awareness are of the nature of Awareness. Awareness does not come and go but is always Present. It is Home. Home is where the Heart Is. Jnanis know the Heart to be the Finality of Eternal Being. A true devotee relishes in the Truth of Self-Knowledge, spontaneously arising from within into It Self.
