Guest guest
Mark W. Otter [mark.otter] Hi Jerry, For what it's worth, I recommend you love the monks who meet upstairs from you and that you also love the Dalai Lama and the folks who follow him. Both (all) are human beings, and therefore, as near as I can tell, both have limited perspective. I certainly do, and that may well be the only thing I can say with any authority. Nonetheless, I suspect that loving everyone is the right action to take. _____________ Unless they are coming after you! In which case the right action is to make a run for it (and continue loving them of course! :-). Sorry to make light of a heavy topic guys. But it seems to me that there are religious fights and quarrels because everybody takes their own beliefs and deities seriously but not those of the other guy! I say all our spiritual leaders should worship each other's God to develop tolerance and love. You know what I am saying. Like the Pope could worship the Buddha for a few months and the Dalai Lama could sing hymns to Mother Mary for the same amount of time. That's what we need. Sort of an exchange program of spirituality. What do you all think? How can any genuine spiritual person refuse to worship at the temple of another religion? Would their God get mad at them? Guest guest
Amen! Mennonites could sing praises to Shiva, and Hindus could take peyote with the Native American Church. Baptists could be brissed and Sufis could sing gospel and speak in tongues. Moslems could sing Rastafarian chants and pot smoking Jamaicans could answer the call to prayer. Yum! Even Harsha could set aside his Chicago gangster roots and be kind to others. I don't think Gloria would get mad at him... Love, Mark ps welcome back Harsha, we missed you. Luckily, Sahajman made an appearance and showered us with love and wisdom. Harsha wrote: Mark W. It is so neat that in my K process all these various divine personalities (hee hee) did play a role... Love you, Wim
