If in earthquake prone areas, construction doesn't reflect this, the result is predictable. And what is causing most untimely deaths, and already did cost more lives than all wars together? Traffic - and it is an important contributor to another pending disaster: the global climate running away. "Erring on the side of caution" - a phrase not fitting the human race... And then, what about priorities? Sending toys to the moon and Mars while children are dying from hunger? What kind of species could do that to its members? Oh - not to forget - there is scientific evidence that "cleaning up" this horrible mess called "human civilization" is worthwhile from a perspective of "speeding up evolution" too, the initial "slow down" would be followed by a fast recovery, the net effect being positive... And what to think about the fact that the richest countries are so called democracies, where the desires of a majority are determining the events on a world wide scale? What comes to the mind, reading the above rant that could be continued for several pages more? The human race as a whole, unintelligent, irrational, insensitive unless "hit hard"? How about its collective karma? That is a sad, old joke from "outer space", about idiots testing the "unshielded power of the sun" on their home planet... And for some "karmacologists", with predictable results... Jan
