Am doing a reappraisal for myself about Thomas Aquinas who has said similar things, of course about 400 years before Silesius. Love, Wim Yes, Thanks for pointing that out Wim about St. Thomas Aquinas. My knowledge of Christian mysticism in not in-depth but St. Thomas Aquinas, St. Augstine, St. Francis of Assisi and others are well known to us and are most eloquent. As a philosophy major, I was exposed to many the Christian Philosopher saints but others could speak with more knowledge. Jan speaks a lot of Rosicrucian order so I have become more familiar with that as well but don't know of its origins and the founding fathers.
