Guest guest
Hi all, thought I'd briefly introduce myself as a new list member from Germany. I have great love and reverence for Sri Ramana Maharshi, which is what drew me to this list. In fact, "In Days of Great Peace (At the Feet of Sri Ramana Maharshi)", Mouni Sadhu's book which I am sure many of you know, has been, and still is, one of my favorite spiritual classics. Not to forget, of course, Paul Brunton's books which I devoured some 25 years ago and still re-read every once in a while. My own way of sadhana is Kriya Yoga, the path of Sri Paramahansa Yogananda. But I love and respect all true paths and all true religions. Actually, I believe that everyone is on the spiritual path wherever he may be, and that all will ultimately realize whatever there is to be realized. What else? I love pure mathematics - have been teaching it at the university for quite a while (I quit there a few years ago to become a partner in a small investment firm). I also love classical music, spiritual poetry, and hiking in the Austrian Alps. And yes, I am a vegetarian, too, but not as strict as Jan. Without the God of Fire, how would I eat my beloved artichokes? Glad to be here. Peace and Joy to you all. Michael Suesserott

The account of Sri Paramhansa Yogananda visiting Sri Ramana is vivid in my mind even though I read about it two decades ago. There was even a film documentary of a few seconds perhaps capturing that event. Ramana Maharshi, the great Jnani Sage of Arunachala, shines like the midday sun. Those who understand the overwhelming simplicity and clarity of Sri Ramana's teachings lose themselves in the Infinite Eye behind the I. The mind cannot contain it. The personality cannot imprison it. We invite lovers of Ramana Maharshi everywhere to join in fellowship and friendship. Please everyone send the url below to all who would be receptive to the teachings of the Sage of Arunachala. /join
