This morning I walked to work and took some pictures along my route. I put three of the pictures on my web site and my online journal: http://www.outermost.com or http://wandertheearth.livejournal.com Enjoy! Guest guest
Thanks Harsha! Yes, it is a digital camera - a Nikon CoolPix 800. I think the best advice is the following: (1) you get what you pay for, and (2) I prefer the companies that traditionally made cameras, like Nikon, Canon, etc., rather than the ones that make consumer electronics, like Sony's. (3) Cameras that use Compact Flash (CF) cards for storage, rather than diskettes, are much more compact. I like mine because I can stick it in my coat pocket and take it wherever I go. If I was getting one now I'd get a Nikon Coolpix 880, the more recent model. The hardest part about digital photography is the image manipulation on the computer, assuming you want to do that. The better programs, like Adobe Photoshop, are complex and hard to learn, but well worth it. The images I post are always processed afterwards since they come out of the camera needing color balancing, cropping, and sometimes contrast enhancement. Of course of lot of people just want the pictures as snapshots and there is nothing wrong with that either. It is quick and rewarding and you don't have to worry about buying film and paying for processing. Love, David At 11:07 PM 2/6/2001 -0500, you wrote: Beautiful pictures David!
