A good friend of mine was in a life threatening accident and after she was air lifted to the hospital many of us went naturally into the Mahamrtyunjaya mantra for her. It has been said that Shiva along with Babaji were in the operation room. She was not expected to make a complete recovery from her injuries but today except for some pain if she is exhausted and a bit of physical limitation she is perfectly healthy. If anyone is interested in learning the proper pronunciation to this mantra you can go to www.americansanskrit.com which is the website of the American Sanskrit Institute.
