An enlightened person is one who can retain his head ..

when all around him are losing theirs.

CW

An enlightened person is one who cannot retain his head ..

(because he does not have one)

when all around him (the others are desperately)

retaining theirs,

(because they think they have one).

JB

Very good CW and JB!

Now your personal koans.

For you CW-- How does the Enlightened Being speaks to those without heads?

For you JB -- How does the Enlightened Being speak without a head?

Your answer must be satisfactory to the other.

Ha! Ha! Ha! :-).

Very challenging question indeed..

:-)

Right now I would say :

that to answer :.. 'speaks thru silence/love', would be rather square..

I would say, he speaks, naturally,

by using words.

But my smart head, insists on suggesting, of course, also the following

possibilities:

- he does not speak - _'he'_ cannot speak, speaks thru being -

speaking happens, there is no 'how' ..

... what's an Enlightened Being ?!

(..did I pass ?!)

Dear Harsha, CW, JB,

Seen many Buddhas without heads,

Many Bodhisattvas without bodies,

None spoke to me...

Them being sculpted from stone.

*It* spoke to me though,

And I did hear,

I did see,

I did feel,

Ah, the smell of stone,

The taste of rock...

Now, just immanent presence,

As I am present as well

As I am...

Love,

Wim
