the love song of merlyn

nimue, beloved daughter of the watery moon

how do i join you since you are there

standing within the glimmering beams of the silvery moon

singing beneath the glistening mirror of its shimmering

orb

dancing under the soaring arms of the last

enchanted forest

how do i, merlyn, join you since i am here

weeping far above the blistering flames of the golden sun

wailing over and upon the penetrating rays of its awesome

glare

travailing beyond the endless embrace of

heaven and earth

how do i play for you who are the heart of creation

the sacred drum that pulses within verdant and fecund grasses

that magic beating beneath roots of secret herbs and

intoxicating flowers

the silent back-beat driving love’s

sappy potion through ancient sequoias

how do i sing for you who are the wind, the breath of earth

the crazy essence of mad birdsong at the setting of the first moon

that incense of cedars caroling in frogs at the rising of the evenstar

the aether that blows through constellations not yet seen or named

how do i dance for you who are the way, dreamy heaven and earth

the lust rushing up the steps of holy mountains that have not yet risen

that greed crusading within the unsatiable heart of the

noble white wolfe

the desire pilgrimming from sacred into profane and fire into ice

i, who am merlyn, how do i join you, nimue, since you are there

playing, singing and dancing among the myriad ten thousand things

i, who am that is, who is your lover, who is that beyond all creatures

how do i join you, my beloved, since you are there and i am here

travailing beyond the endless embrace of heaven and earth

wailing over and upon the penetrating rays of its awesome glare

weeping far above the blistering flames of the golden sun

how…,

do i join you, my beloved, how do we who are two become one

why….,

i must again, who am awake, to dream you once more into dream

then,

I, the Lover, dreaming of you, the Beloved, dreaming of We, of Us,

as moonlight shine playing on water lapping its way to beat on the golden shore

as moonglow dust wafting the midnight wings of crickets into a starry symphony

as moonbeam silver dancing in the snow and upon icy peaks of blue mountains

finally, we who are two, will dream as it was at the beginning and will be to the end.

nimue, beloved sorceress of the silvery forest and the watery moon

how does the favorite prince and sorcerer from beyond the sun love you….

as a misty dragonfly hovering over the sacred waters of the lady of the lake

oh, my reader, this is the love song of the sorcerer merlyn to the sorceress nimue…,

which one are you …?
