Guest guest
>> Apart from some chakra meditation, I ignore K manifestations as just an impediment, like siddhis, to final liberation..... << Several people mentioned this, and I too, when I was taught Transcendental Meditation, was cued to ignore this type of phenomenon. I did ignore it when practicing TM, which I no longer do. My current practice is puja that includes singing bhajans, japa, and other practices directly taught by Ammachi to devotees at Her public programs and retreats. I also, though, continue my interest, reading and so on of other branches of my "spirituality tree," which I have mentioned previously. Perhaps, though, I did not name some of the "branches," or actually, they may be "roots" that have given nourishment to the "branches." : ) Anyhow, these include shamanism, which I have mentioned, earth centered spirituality (including wicca and Native American spirituality), western metaphysics, and, of course, eastern spirituality. My visionary experiences, when in the context of what I could consider shamanic, serve the purpose established for that context, which is to provide me with information and/or gifts that guide me and continue the process of my healing. I learned hard way that it is a good idea to pay attention to these experiences. (If I go into specifics, I will be on my way to another book, so I won't.) Other visionary experiences that I have that are connected with Ammachi seem to be direct communications from Her that also are information and/or healing gifts. Sometimes just to "feel" Her hand on my brow or to hear Her lifts my spirit. Also, recently I have been reading a book by Sylvia Brown (I consider her to be within the western metaphysical paradigm), and much of what she says has resonated with me. One of these is that visionary experiences are a way we have of showing Eternity and the eternal aspect of ourselves to ourselves. (Tripping over my words again.) These are like messages from or glimpses of Home. This feels right to me and so I welcome them, however...I do not get attached, but merely experience wonder, awe, delight, and thanks.
