I had an kundalini awakening about 30 years ago.

I walked around for months wondering what

happened to me. I talked to my friends,

they did not know what to tell me.

I was hallucinating, leaving my body,

having strong feelings of Gods Love.

About two years after that happened I ran

across a book explaining what had happened to

me. Thank God for Books.

It never happened again like that. It was incredible

I could smell things feel things like never before.

It was a few years before I finally calmed down.

I feel that when it is divine intervention that causes

the experience, there are lessons to be learned, (and

that the power of the unchecked energy if not

carefully

controled can cause alot of damage)that you get just

the right amount (of the kundalina energy) as not to

damage you physically. Praise the Lord!

Therefore for most folks it is probably better for a

big kundalini awakening to be divine in nature.

I am only sharing my opinion from my own experience.

Probably you became used to the new level of energy, rather than just

calming down. Have you continued to work with your K. and let it develop?

If you mean it's better for it to be awakened by one's inner guide or

spiritual guru than to do exercises to try to awaken it, I agree. But also

an experienced teacher can give Shaktipat and start it going... if you're

ready. It's easy to do if the student is ready, but very difficult if he

isn't. :)

Dharma
