Guest guest Posted March 27, 2001 Report Share Posted March 27, 2001 the thief in the coopery “…but let none suffer as a…thief…” -I Peter 4.15 oh, my beloved reader…, today I want you to think of me not as poet nor as a word-smith not as a teacher or student, but as a thief, the white wolfe, the merry outlaw today, I want you to think of me as the sinner with a noble heart a wilde and free natural warrior haunting and hunting moonshine lurking amidst the dark shadows guardian of the enchanted forest who steals into the brooding coopery taking without remose the sleepy mother but leaving her golden treasure untouched so that he may return to steal another night again and again that which cannot be stolen guardian of the ancient secret ways hiding within the shifting shadows hunting and haunting liquid moonlight love’s true noble knight without armour as the one who sins that you may not i want you to think of me today as just the merry outlaw, the white wolfe a sleazy thief even that is how I want you to think of me today what is it that i steal night after endless night? nothing less than sacred heart of my beloved but actually not only am i a thief, i am a liar for you see, my beloved reader, what i have what i have is never stolen but freely given every night i steal into the beloved’s sacred heart every night she gives herself to me freely, wantonly so that with words i may sneak deep within you bringing you a treasure you hide within yourself with words i return to you your own sacred heart what do i steal from the heart of the midnight coopery what do i sneak back into the forest with to bring to you i bring to the secret of your sacred heart’s true desire that is never for sale, cannot be stolen, a precious gift that you may not suffer as a robber of mere carnal love i ask you to sneak into the darkness within the coopery and discover freely the gift of my dark and true beloved the truth that you are the true lover of the one beloved that you are the stolen treasure, you are the divine love!
