Guest guest
The River The storm's coming in across the river; storm's coming in, 'cross the mountainside. The wind blows so fierce, it makes me shiver. Oh, but you know I don't want to hide. I want to... face the storm; meet in head on; hold the Power in my hand... embrace the storm, standing my own ground. I won't back down; I'm being, I'm being born. The clouds are so dark, above the water; clouds are so dark, you can scarcely see. I might be afraid, but I'm Heaven's daughter, and the stark raving madness will not move me, and I want to... face the storm; meet in head on; hold the Power in my hand... embrace the storm, standing my own ground. I won't back down; I'm being, I'm being born. There never was birth without a little pain; there never will be growth without rain. So shake the Earth; I will not fall. You know I'm in Love with It All. The thunder beats a rhythm against the hillside; the thunder beats a rhythm; it echos in my bones... of the the gifts that I've been given over a lifetime; of the drumming in my heart, always calling me Home. So I will... face the storm; meet in head on; hold the Power in my hand... embrace the storm, standing my own ground. I won't back down; I'm being, I'm being born. There never was birth without a little pain; there never will be growth without rain. So shake the Earth; I will not fall. You know I'm in Love with It All. copyright Linda Talbott 2001 Okay...now I'm trembling, on the verge of tears. The part of this that was not finished was the final verse, the one about the drumming. I could "feel" it, but try and try again, it just wouldn't come...until now. Thank you all. Shanti ~ Linda
