Guest guest
.." Do you mean to limit the focus to positive aspirations and experiences, or are negative aspirations and experiences worthy of discussion as well? What is positive what is negative? the universal spirit of divine bliss is in control... Everyone is absolutely perfect in the moment that they are in... Designs of resolution. Guest guest
Dear Harsha, This is not true. I've been pretty depressed these past two weeks - even to the point of suicidal ideation. I don't know when Michael is or is not feeling joy, but I doubt very much that my mood exactly mirrors his. (I certainly do wish for him and for all of you to feel joy, and when you communicate joy to me, I am empathetic about it, so by all means, please express joy - it lifts my spirits.) You mention that "a focuses on the aspirations and experiences of individuals on the spiritual path." Do you mean to limit the focus to positive aspirations and experiences, or are negative aspirations and experiences worthy of discussion as well? In comradeship on the spiritual journey, Mark ps I don't mean by my post to imply any judgement of you or any other member of the list, or to imply any consistency of attitude on my part. I'm just inquiring into the implications of your communiques about the purpose of the list for posts which focus on negative experiences, or use negative language, or generate negative experiences. Everyone is doing just fine Michael. When you are in joy, all are in joy. You remind me of that guy who went around saying to everyone, "I am blissful! Are you blissful?" :-). Depressing isn't it? Yah! Well - guess what - we (illusory beings) get/have to feel experience it all. Ah, but you know that already! HAHAHAH and HOHOHO1 Peace - not laughing at you or with you, just laughing - Michael
Guest guest
Mark, I want to thank you for bringing THIS 'sense' of reality to the Satsangh as well... Yes, there is suffering behind the things we read here... Have gone through plenty myself... My pain is gone but denial did not get me there... I faced my suffering head on some years ago, could not afford it anymore, was willing to "let the chips fall where they may..." You know they did not fall too badly... in retrospect that is. But boy did they come down like an avalanche at first... and the tears, the weeping, day after day... I thought I went crazy... and I let it me... Through those crazed dark clouds during the long day-time hours and the crazed nightmares during the long night-time hours the (at first) blinding light of reality started to break through... That is what reality tends to do... But you know, one does not know reality before it hits... It blasts on you at first, you don't want it, then it heats you through, relentlessly until you welcome it, then it warms you as the illusive ice castle of aloneness dissolves around you. There are only a few humans who have not played with the ideation of suicide, there are only a few humans without addictive tendencies... This is apparently not a satsangh for those few or for those that pretend to be of those few, this is a satsangh for of all of us.... And it is spring cleaning now Open all the closets Let the skeletons walk away Ha, they can't, those muscle-less creatures! Pick up the pieces and bury them bones... Skeletons are dead, they ought to remain dead. But skeletons cannot bury or cremate themselves you have to do it... And it is OK to show the skeletons before you dig their grave... light their fire When you to do it in the dark of night you are automatically suspect... Guest guest
Hi Mark, >.... I've been pretty depressed these past two weeks - >even to the point of suicidal ideation. I'm sorry to hear it. I know a period of rapid change is often very difficult. Something new coming, something old dying... it isn't easy. Sometimes everything seems to be in turmoil. That's when you especially need your friends, your sangha... you can tell us what most others might not understand. In a sense, these feelings are not just negative... they're part and parcel of this period of growth. Gotta get through this valley, even if there are some thorns and thistles, to get to the other side. If you can focus in on something that makes you feel depressed, can you see it as a block... and clear it? One way is to give it to God/dess... just say that you don't want it any more and give it away, give it to God/dess. (Or whatever name/term/concept works for you.)
