Guest guest
Thanks everyone and Mira, Dharma, Wim, Lynette, Linda for your heart warming responses to Internet based fellowship. Thanks Amanda, Perins, Jan, Linda, Mark (WW) and others for your recent poems and posts as well on dreams. I agree that there is a very genuine and deep satsangh possible over the Internet as consciousness has no boundaries. This is our collective experience. I appreciate the notes from Greg and Gloria to Mark and hope your spirits are uplifted Mark and that you are feeling better. Please feel free to share anytime as Gloria and Greg have already encouraged you to do. Sometimes sharing from the heart can lessen our burden and open up other hearts in the process. It is interesting that recently more literature has started to appear on spirituality in the workplace. It seems like things which are on the periphery at some point enter the main stream. Since we have been speaking of alcohol addiction, I should mention that recently, I have been doing research on something called Internet Addiction. It is a new and developing field and quite fascinating. I will keep you informed of it as it may make good reading (for personal use!) As a practical matter, I believe people will adjust to the new communication technologies and balance in terms of the needs that are met on the internet and those which are met off the internet. As many have pointed out, in terms of spiritual fellowship, internet offers some rich treasures. In my view, however, it cannot be a substitute for when immediate help is needed in some facet of one's life. For example, recently my basement was flooded. I could not really call on fellowship to come running with water buckets. Perhaps in the future, Internet based fellowship and face to face fellowship will intermingle to such an extent that it will be impossible to make such distinctions. Perhaps people will come running with their buckets next time around! :-). I am enjoying the DHEA conversation. I wonder if there are any long term studies of that supplement. I see it in the food market and K-Mart also. Jacques, I am glad it is working for you. I also play chess by the way but with the high doses of DHEA you are taking, I could not compete with you! David Bozzie is the expert on DHEA. But can we trust experts (sorry David). Jessica once quoted a doctor saying people should take no more than 5mg a day. Its very confusing since the FDA does not regulate this stuff. Not that the regulations would help. Have a wonderful day MABBIP (That's an Internet acronym I just made up) Oh yeah, and we love you Michael! Harsha
