Guest guest
Well Mark, there is something said for emotional turmoil too, which often makes the focus of the inner path to become stronger (not by will, but by itself). Not surprisingly, a number of realizations (read Zen stories) have come in periods of stress, inner chaos and loss of the usual pointers of security and confidence. Facing oneself is never easy. The saying about the path to the truth being thick with cutting blades and thus avoided by most ppl is still accurate today. You're more gracious under this pressure than some others have been.
