Guest guest
Dear Tony, You wrote to Angelique: > I seem to remember getting the boot off your list for a difference in > theology. What kind of freedom of speech is that? Right , Tony. I know I was sometimes bastardly critical of you, but my God, did I ever want you to stay on that list !!! And not to clobber you... although you were so nicely 'cloberable' :-) > If people want to behave like the monkeys they are, rather than the > humans they can become, then its their karma. I have been thinking all day how to phrase my feelings on this and you are saying quite a bit of it here. Except I would not have used the word "monkeys." > There has to be absolute controls, if that isn't possible > then it should all be banned. Of course neither measure is absolutely possible... so we muddle on... with the present 'checks and balances'. > Most of the socalled tantra is just > distorted crap of the original teaching > by horny old bastards looking > for another reason to get it off.... True, I would have added some compassion, dispassion and understanding to that paragraph though. But then you wrote it, they are your words, and I appreciate them.. as I think I know what you mean to say. Although Kundalini and Tantra have a lot to do with creative energy (pro-creativity, re-creativity, recreation and creativity), the potential of manipulation, perversion and hurt is there... and very often even seemingly inflicted on oneself without knowing the deeper causes for it. I think that is taking care of business, somehow the 'checks and balances' were activated. We ourselves on a personal level have to think gently and sternly about whatever is harming exploitive perversion. That is by no means easy... there are shifting standards. At one point taking a bath in the nude was considered a perversion. Love, Wim
