Guest guest
As I see it, Enlightenement or Life, is the one thing that never comes nor goes, so it doesn't get lost nor does it return. What comes and goes indeed are all those intricate views and experiences within life. The only place where one can speak of walking the razor's edge is in the midst of life as it is happening as an experiental reality. In my life many views and beliefs have come and gone. And sure they are beautiful as they come, some insights have really turned me into pure ecstacy, but they are still temporal; they also depart one day, to make room for yet another insight or another discovery. Realizing that one never leaves or abandons that which one is, is the one thread that seems to tie all those experiences together into one coherent concept called 'my life'. @@@@@@ Makes sense to me. My kids are great teachers. Not so much because they inform me of something new I hadn't realized yet, but because they continually remind me of what I already know, and turn it into a fresh and concept-free experience, instead of an old and dusty memory. Kids don't care for issues like "how it is supposed to be". They just are as it is, and that's it. You can take it or leave it, like or dislike it, but that is all they offer. That, to me, is a self renewing teaching every day. I have three daughters by the way. @@@@@ very true.... How old are your daughters on a personal note?? I have a 13 yr old daughter, a 7 yr old daughter, and a 6 yr old son, and a very ornery 41 yr old husband.. lol Love, Lynette Love, Mira

Guest guest
Thank you for sharing that Mira. Interesting, how I can see that those who become enlightened first, as a single, then merge into a relationship. Might possibly have difficulty with the transition. It makes sense, that in the "act of living", one might deny their true expression of themselves. But has never really left their enlightenment. Realizing that one never leaves or abandons that which one is, is the one thread that seems to tie all those experiences together into one coherent concept called 'my life'. I can see how the path of meditation, and self awareness might be put aside for the "human" needs involved in a relationship. A delicate balance to be sure. For those of us who are happily married before such a search begins, lies a different story. The daily struggle from day one to "live" and remember to continue rediscovering yourself... becomes interestingly enough, a teeter tooter... I find myself looking forward to the silence during the week when the kids are in school and the husband off to work.... so I can rediscover myself, and then equally wish for the weekend and evenings so that I can "live"... The love of life that used to be non existent, taking on a new dimension with the daily reminder of children... for those of us with young children.... do we see their truth so much more clearly? I do..... Since I've released so many of my own memories... my daughters have revealed so much of themselves to me.. One has seen my grandmother, another can see auras, one explained reincarnation to me, and another explained how we are destroying the earth... {off subject.... sorry} But to me, the middle path is not always a straight middle path, but a meandering one. I think I prefer to stop and smell the flowers along the way ,with my children. They have so much to teach me. My kids are great teachers. Not so much because they inform me of something new I hadn't realized yet, but because they continually remind me of what I already know, and turn it into a fresh and concept-free experience, instead of an old and dusty memory.
