Guest guest
Hi Mira. I don't know anything about Vartman except what our dear brother Jerry wrote about him which was pretty funny. I loved that and hope Jerry will post it again. If you are interested in the nature of relationships between life partners there are probably some good books. One popular book some years ago was men are from mars and women are from pluto. I never read it, but it has a nice cover. I saw the author talk briefly on PBS and he was very enthusiastic about what he was saying and really seemed to believe it and so apparently did the audience. He is a psychologist and that gives him some credibility as Dan and Holly would agree, being in the same field. While we are at it, if Jerry does not mind, I would like to put in a plug for my own books as I am quite a relationship expert myself. Book One: Real Men Are Not Afraid to Throw Up in Front of the Women They Love or Even On Them (Best seller list). Book Two: Real Women Don't have to Lock the Bathroom When Using Toilets in Their Own Home (Best Seller list again). Book Three: Spending Intimate Moments With your Spouse When Children are skilled at opening locks (forthcoming). Thanks everyone for your support of my work on relationships. If you can dig one well deep enough, you will no doubt eventually hit water. Love to all Harsha Mirror [mirror] Wednesday, April 18, 2001 11:44 AM ; ACES-KEEPERS; NondualitySalon [ACES-KEEPERS] Spiritually Transmitted Diseases Dear lists, Hereby I forward you an article written by Vartman (some of you may know....). He addresses an issue that I myself have been confronted with within the last year and a half or so. The issue of 'walking beside the razors edge', instead of walking the middle way, jumping from the concept of 'self assertion' into the concept of 'self denial'. I may (or may not) relate some of my more personal experiences later, but I thought I'd send this article, as it directly jumps into open inquiry of our concepts. It also addresses the issue of intimate relationships and sexuality. Vartman and Susanna are two beautiful people who devoted their lives to the continuous discovery and sharing of truth, having found the one beloved in each other. I don't know much about Vartman either, except for having attended his satsang in Holland. Anything funny about anybody is always welcome though, because I simply love a good laugh!! > If you are interested in the nature of relationships between life partners there are probably some good books. However I am trying to step beyond the realm of book knowledge and embark on a much more dangerous adventure.... first hand experience!! > While we are at it, if Jerry does not mind, I would like to put in a plug for my own books as I am quite a relationship expert myself. Of course I will read all your books and thus become an expert in the field of relationships like yourself. Perhaps you would consider a 'one on one relationship intensive retreat' to add to my expertise? ;-) > If you can dig one well deep enough, you will no doubt eventually hit water. It is however, advisable to stop digging when water is found, or you may drown in your own well. Love, Mira

Love, Dharma Thanks Dharma. Yes, every marriage counselor should have that on their wall, "if one digs deep enough, one will eventually hit water" with the caveat that, "some have to dig a lot deeper and a lot longer and a lot harder than others - so no refunds! :-)."
