Hmmm...hi Angelique. I'm relatively new to the list and don't think I've been around when you last checked in. It's nice to meet you. From what you wrote in this post, I am wondering if is still considering going into the porn business and what that exactly means. If anyone knows, I hope you will speak for the general knowledge of the group. Last night I was checking in with Harsha group mail and was very interested to read a quote from the letters of Ramana Maharshi, which I believe relates to topics like this one. Unfortunately, I didn't save the digest, so I can't directly quote, however... Ramana said something to the effect generally that, when seeking the Self, it is important to surround oneself with people and activities that are supportive of this and to avoid others that are not. This is very consistent with what I have found any avatar or teacher I respect to say or have said. I am fairly certain that Ramana and other masters also intend that when we choose people and activities that are uplifting, we do so without judging the ones we are not choosing. Reading this was significant because I am easily confused by the concepts of acceptance and nonjudgement. I understand them conceptually and have experienced them from time to time. I suppose this is why avatars and masters are important ~ because they have a larger perspective and can live and hold up the model while providing tips on the behaviors that help get us there.
