It is we who put ourselves in bondage by making a polarity of liberation and bondage.Guidelines on a list are simply guidelines on a list. Whatever the list members, moderators, head of the list decide. It's up to them.Where did Ramana say anything at all about what should or shouldn't be allowed to be posted on e-mail lists? ;-)Namaste,Dan Yes. Well put Sri Danji. The Heart is the only Guide. It is no different than the Self and it transcends all guidelines. You remind me of a funny story. Sri Ramana insisted on following the Ashram rules just like everyone else. One time a western lady not used to sitting cross legged sat with her legs outstretched towards Ramana. One of the devotees went to the lady and told her that this was disrespectful and asked her to bring her legs in and sit cross legged, which she did immediately. Sri Ramana seeing what was happening was annoyed and also brought his legs in and sat cross legged even though it pained him considerably since he had arthritis. The devotees tried to persuade Ramana to stretch out his legs but he would not do it! His view was that if western visitors were going to be forced to sit cross legged to their discomfort, then he would bear his pain as well. The same rules had to apply to all! Finally, the western lady was told to stretch out her legs. Only after that did Sri Ramana agree to stretch out his legs.
