Guest guest
At a study group for A Course in Miracles, the participants were having an intense discussion about the correct perspective of a certain passage from the book. There were several people seeing different ways of interpreting what was said, along with much heated discussions and arguing between most of the people over the 'right way'. Bill Thetford was also at this meeting. Bill was the person who assisted Helen Shucman (the scribe of ACIM) in the writing of the book. Bill was quiet and not participating in the discussions, although he was considered an authority of ACIM. After a long time was spent arguing, someone finally asked Bill what he had to say about this particular passage. His reply: "I'd tear out the page." ******** Love, xxxtg
Guest guest
Bless you, tg, I love your voice. Here's a true story my rabbi tells: Her (my rabbi's) friend is also a rabbi and he is visiting his (Jewish) friend from childhood who became a Buddhist (there are a LOT of Jewish Buddhists -- JuBus, they're called. I think I'm sort of a HinJu). They are having a look at a lovely prayer room the Buddhist built for himself. The rabbi points to the statue of Buddha and says "man, you're a Jew! How can you worship an idol?!" Whereupon the Buddhist immediately smashes the statue against the wall and says "can you do that with your Torah?"
