=========

It sounds like you have some legitimate complaints about the negative

stereotyping you have had to deal with in your life.

Truly, I am not unsympathetic about that and the plight of any and all

marginalized people who are lumped into groups and somehow rejected on that

basis. I will also freely admit to being sensitive myself about similar

stereotypes and other negative characterizations made about Christians, or

women,

Dear Gloria, Fellow moderators,

Do you feel Gloria

that your Christian perspective

and need to find harmony and agreement

is as much a handicap as

(for example) my tendency

to find and expose and

confront interior and external

anomalies?

You seem deeply perturbed by

ideas of Shiva the destroyer

as part of God?

Or the idea that Skanda

(a homosexual deity)

is somehow

a less than perfect holiness?

What are you doing about

your tender tendencies?

Being reasonable with

unreasonable people

(for example me)

is in itself - unreasonable.

My feeling is that whipping

people into a line of

reasonable behaviour is

worthwhile only when it

comes without compulsion.

Just as people can be possessed

by 'evil' so too can they

be possessed by 'good'.

And possession is not

part of vedanta.

However that might

just be my thoughts

gone awry . . .
