Guest guest
It is wonderful to hear from you Luan. Thank you for posting these beautiful words from many traditions to remind us of the unifying principle of Ahimsa or Nonviolence. Sages who have gone to the depths of Pure Being, see the same taste of love everywhere. There have been such people whose gaze was so pure that they did not know how to be anything other than love. For those who do not know Luan (lovingly called Master Pham by his friends), Luan is a great soul and it is our honor to be in his presence. Love to all Harsha P.S. Welcome Gracie and all the new members. phamdluan [phamdluan] Sunday, April 29, 2001 11:06 AM Tolerance Dear everyone, I find those words very beautiful and want to share with you. I would only add that Ahimsa doesn't mean standing by and watching violence occurr. That in itself would be violent complicity.....Om Namah Sivaya...Tony. Guest guest
Tony O'Clery [aoclery] Namaste Harsha, Thank you for those quotes. I would only add that Ahimsa doesn't mean standing by and watching violence occurr. That in itself would be violent complicity.....Om Namah Sivaya...Tony. Yes Tony. Thanks for pointing that out. According to the Hindu view each person has to follow his/her Dharma (duty) as called for by the situation. So relatively speaking, it is possible that what is Ahimsa from the perspective of one person may be injustice from another point of view. Ahimsa is the first principle of Yoga. Some say that all the other principles flow from it. Love Harsha
