The Game

People have this notion that they have to achieve a certain something

or other for enlightenment to occur.

That a certain experience or certain understanding has to occur

first. Merging with some beloved in some rapturous nirvana never

never land, finding their prince or princess, some cosmic all-powerful

Godly "whatever" experience that will bring ultimate releif and

pleasure.

 

And you see my friends, it's these very notions, these desires that

keep you locked like a rat in a cage, always chasing, always desiring,

this ultimate something or other, that will perfectly fulfill you and

relieve you of your mortalness and misery.

 

That my friends is "self"-ishness, and the more "sacrificial" and

"loving" and "desirous", and "void" now is en-vogue popular, :-),

you

are in playing this game, the funnier and the more absurd it is.

 

Real Enlightenment, or Understanding Itself is nothing more than

*seeing* this in yourself, coping to it, and waking up from the

playing of this ridiculous game.

And your *position* and *recourse* then becomes one of Understanding.

In other words, there is no separate *one* here that needs to merge

with God or go to Heaven in order to be happy. Happiness is already

the case! And it's "unreasonable" happiness. Merging with God - I

chuckle! Nonsense! Some people, go figure??? :-))
