Acceptable. But I >still don't know how this is applied in a practical sense. > >Furthermore, I still don't understand if this is real or right. ======== Paradoxically the rightness comes into perspective through the practice. One way (just one) is to return to a center of calm and equanimity through a conscious breathing. By observing our breath we become aware of what is calming (to us) and what disturbs that. We eventually find that we prefer the calm and equanimity. It feels right. Such moments of comprehension seem to be related to altered processing. Certain conditions (one of 'non-concern' or relaxation) allow the mind to slip into a more aware state. This is what we are attempting with meditation or what ever works. Creating conditions that allow more favourable and useful mind states. From my own experience I know that such deeper or more inclusive mind states (we can return and still operate normally) are based in part on 'intense relaxation'. So anything that increases our relaxation (of mind and body) and maintains focus is useful. What I am suggesting is that the conditions with the body/mind/ system operating in a higher realm (and this needs a complete spiritual discipline) produce a 'resonant condition'. In other words there are certain 'meta-patterns' that amplify once an initial chord is struck - a sort of harmonic feedback . . . Now this 'meta-pattern' does not have an existence - just as consciousness does not exist until a certain level of complexity is reached. There are many such patterns - you might have heard them described as wheels or chakras. Lobster
