On one of the forums I belong to (Sufi-studies-) Idries Shah is described as 'The *anker'. Now of course that may be, however I read the words of a *anker - what does that make me? LOL We can not go by opinion, reputation or supposed authority. We have to make up our own mind. Of course some like to leave the thinking to the Guru, spider, the enlightened or anyone who says what they prefer to hear . . . I have created some major rumours about myself - for example some people think that lobsters and scorpions are related. We just wear the same perfume. Attar of roses . . . 'Whoever might perfume a scorpion Will not thereby escape its sting' Naqshband Superficially this is about vanity and self delusion (one of my favourite hobbies and perfumes) however it also refers to the idea that reality no matter how we Love Her is still a . . . *ouch* . . . oh well . . . flies for dinner again . . . ;-) The Mysterious Lobster
