Such experiences are very affirming and the component of 'Love' and ecstasy is universal. Your experience sounds very intense. Some time ago I was visited by a familiar 'Love' Angel or Yidam. (I do not work on the visual - I was just very aware of its presence - hey I'm only a beginner) I told it to 'go away' and fetch the organ grinder. (Lobsters are nothing if not presumptuous). I refused to be possessed again by this wondrous quality - yeah we Lobsters sure is strange . . . I knew the cost of such a 'request'/prayer would be perhaps more than I could bear. The organ grinder must have been busy - guess who made a monkey out of me . . . LOL [Lobster dances . . .] Recently whilst practicing vajrayana in a monastic setting (and a great deal of preparatory practice) I entered a 'Pure Land' that I was familiar with. Ecstatic experiences are seductive and I lived there for a while. Coming back took about two weeks but then I knew the territory, previously it would have taken two years . . . Some people never leave. As they say, 'If you meet the Buddha on the road, one of you is going in the wrong direction.' .. . . or is it that all roads lead to Rome . . . .. . . or . . .
