Yes Tony.

In becoming 'intellectual'

and laughing (and incidently Dharma

Tony has listened and therefore shown

- like we all have - a willingness to change)

we are acknowledging the ego as not an enemy

but

as an ally in the journey to the real.

In this way we utilise the tendencies of the

ego rather than the ascetic way of fighting

our tendencies beyond our capacity.

I am saying that ego needs to be stroked

if the higher self is to be allowed entry into.

Stroking does not mean a full body massage.

The ego is easily satisfied.

Keep it occupied. Keep it occupied with

increasingly 'spiritual' activity.

One day it will be nothing

because everything has been done . . .

The message is conveyed or dismissed by the ego

AND for most of us the ego is the deciding factor.

Those of us not partial to the machinations

of the ego

do not need the message.

The ego does not believe that

- hence it chatters more than it listens

but the Higher Self

is always present

- listening . . .

Lobster chatter :-)

"I don't know what your destiny will be, but one thing I know,

the only ones among you who will be really happy are those who

have sought and found how to serve."

- Albert Schweitzer
