It doesn't really matter if the moon is full, new or half or whatever for meditation. Meditation will go on by itself night and day and it's a natural integral part of life, life itself... thoughts are just a part of the background of meditation and they don't need to hinder meditation. The mind needs to be quitened so the mind is allowed to discover itself and its background, but you only need one small moment of quiet for this to happen. Meditation doesn't need to be about straining or suppressing the mind or concentrating on something, but to see through the mind to what is there. A. A. ____________________________ We bow to Sri Amanda for her wisdom. Our bodies are made of the same stuff as the stars, planets, and the moons. So there is some effect on the body and the mind. There is effect of food and drink as well on the body. But Shakespeare said that fault lies not in the stars but in us. He was obviously not an astrologer. The True Seeing is independent of all effects. Stars and planets and the moon and the whole universe exist in that Self-Seeing. You can "see" an article that Amandaji edited. "Some Similarities between Jnana Yoga and Kundalini Yoga By Vib "Vibri" Ribbon" on the HS website. Only Amanda knows who the author Vibri is. / Thanks Amandaji for sharing your wisdom. Guest guest
Hi Harsha, >snip< >Our bodies are made of the same stuff >as the stars, planets, and the moons. Evangeline Adams, the great American astrologer, said, "The stars impel, they do not compel." It is said that the more "spiritually advanced" or "developed" a person is, the less his natal horoscope influences him... he is in control.
