Tony,

What "impediments to manifestation" are occurring for you today and how are

you "purifying" them? Is awareness "sheathed?" Unsheathed? Partial? How is

awareness "purified" Awareness evolves? -whose awareness anyhoo? The only

sheath I find here is the little black number I can no longer fit into.

Aaah, it's so annoying whenever you have a sheath let down like that.

Another well known problem is nylon stockings being ripped.

Namaste A et al,

I'm glad I'm not a woman. It must be that much harder to reduce egos

and attachments, having to worry so much about clothing, appearance,

fashion, hair etc etc, weight appearance etc etc.

This may be the reason some scriptures indicate it is good karma to be

born a man.

Any thoughts?.......ONS Tony.

I would tell you what I look like if I could ever get my son out of the

Tony, Tony, Tony: I suspect that you are posing this question to

provoke a response, which you will then label, predictable. Do you

also believe that Inuit were born in a place without vegetables

(forced to eat meat) because of bad karma? Non-dualism has been

criticized because in effect, the philosophy, the understanding of it

eliminates the laws of cause and effect. Are you a non-dualist? Was

Yes, Tony.

I'm glad I am not a man who pays so much attention to women's

clothing, appearance, fashion, hair, weight, etc, etc...more than who

she is.

Man or woman, it is good karma to be born with a sense of humor.

Gill,

Good point!

I know some men who themselves are trangendered and now call themselves

women. Beatiful, with hormones, silicone, makeup, fashion, and they don't

like to share mirrors either! And some of them can fit into almost any

sheath.

---Dear Tony,

Good karma to be born a man?? Maybe, but you are still born of

WOMAN. And it is the male of the species that has set such

rediculous ideas of beauty for woman to aspire too. Although,

there are those of us who care not a whit what you think of us, and

we dress as we please, and do just about everything else as well to

suit ourselves.

I read a book...it wasn't about the natural superiority of women though. It

was about the natural superiority of the Germans by a man called Adolf

Hitler. A funny little double standard exists in the world..it seems that

racial prejudice and bigotry is not tolerated or condoned but yet prejudiced

based upon sex is considered politically correct.. as long as you're female.

Many so called feminists are nothing more than hate mongers who seek so

divide the sexes instead of emphasizing what unites us. Many of these hate

mongers are glorified as champions of women's lib..like Gloria Steinem...

and the afore-mentioned coat tail rider Ashley Montagu. take a myriad of

Steinem's ravings and replace the world male with " jewsblacks"

"chinese"

"japanese" or "asians" and all of a sudden you have hate propaganda... kinda

odd eh? Keep in mind I am not trying to pick a fight nor am I bashing a

woman's right to be treated equal in every respect to a man. I am merely

questioning the hypocritical double standards our society seems to so neatly

sweep under the carpet.

Kind regards everyone,

Jeremy

No sense of humor, Jeremy? Then at least try to see when people are just

making a joke. :)

And I get Hitler yet? Ach!

You think I'm a feminist? Did I ever write anything to make you think so?

Do you know that, with my Sanskrit name, some people don't know whether I'm

a man or a woman? Guess my writing doesn't show it. :))

>divide the sexes instead of emphasizing what unites us. Many of these hate

>mongers are glorified as champions of women's lib..like Gloria Steinem...

Ashley Montagu was a British philosopher... I have no idea why he wrote

that book... guess he just got interested in the subject. It was about

physical, biological matters, as I recall... things like the X and Y

chromosomes... and woman's extra layer of fat, which seems to be a plus

for survival.

>Steinem's ravings and replace the world male with " jewsblacks"

"chinese"

>"japanese" or "asians" and all of a sudden you have hate propaganda... kinda

That book was not hate propaganda. :) Though I did see a round table on TV

when Zsa Zsa got going with Montagu's book for fuel... she was

hysterically funny... kept ragging the men about that stunted little Y

chromosome. :))) But she was so cute and funny, no one called her a hate

monger. :)

>odd eh? Keep in mind I am not trying to pick a fight nor am I bashing a

Well, that's good to hear. :) Maybe... :(

>I am merely

>questioning the hypocritical double standards our society seems to so neatly

It ain't double standards that made the chromosomes or the extra layer of fat.

Why so upset about all this anyway? Relax, be happy... do you really care

about an extra layer of fat? :))

Dharma

Maybe if you didn't use words like

"ravings

"Steinem's hate propaganda

"[women's] unfair advantages

"incredibly riled up

"spew

"barrage

"embittered

"male bashing

"rhetoric

"disgusting hypocrisy

"stubborn [and]

"pig headed,"

you might have better luck talking to the gals.

Hey! I was merely pointing out a very real concern in our society. I wasn't

pointing any fingers.. no need to get jumpy fella =). I was also being

tongue-in -cheek at several points in my email as I hope was evident *the A.

Montagu reference etc.* . The fact remains that double standards are

indulged in by society and gender stereotypes do cut both ways. The fact

remains that many of Steinem's ravings sound strikingly similar to hate

propaganda. Women do have some unfair advantages in society whether they

would admit it or not. Some feminists are bold in their desire to be treated

as equals but then when they have to same some of the stark realities that

men have had to deal with for centuries (war), they hide behind these same

stereotypes that they supposedly abhor. Need I remind anyone of the Gulf

War? And...I didn't find Steinem cute in her writings. She , of course , did

some good for women but also a heck of allot of bad for humankind as a whole

.. It seems odd that many feminists who preach that they only want equality

get so incredibly riled up whenever any of their beliefs are even

questioned in the slightest. Whenever I, or colleagues of mine, try to state

some of the misfortunes that befall males in our society due to unfair

gender based stereotypes, to some feminists we always get a response similar

to "oh you think you have it bad, well most men are insensitive brutes,

yadda yadda yadda." Many feminists state in one breath that they treat

everyone as equals regardless or gender and then in the very next spew a

barrage of embittered male bashing rhetoric...Doesn't sound cute, Doesn't

sound like equality..it sounds like disgusting hypocrisy to me. It is

extremely upsetting and depressing to me that these same self proclaimed

"compassionate feminists" are so stubborn, pig headed and unwilling to

listen to the same story from a different prospective. But then again what

do I know I'm just a man. =)

Take care,

Jeremy
