Guest guest
Namaste All, Having made these posts recently and getting responses that would be more appropriate the the K-list than a Ramana site, I thought I would dig through my extensive home library. I found Ramana books I forgot I had, the Gita, conversations with Brunton, etc etc. p 11. with Brunton. Do you recommend that meat and alcoholic drinks be given up? A. Yes it is advisable to give them up because this abstention is a useful aid for beginners. ......There is a subtle essence in food it is this which affects the mind etc etc. P 204 Sushumna is entered and the mind passes up to the sahasrara cakra etc etc............These are all mental concepts........Why add new encumbrances to the already existing ones? ( concepts). p 202. The final obstacle to meditation is ecstasy, you feel great bliss and happiness and stay in that ecstasy,do not yield but pass on to the sixth stage which is great calm etc etc I haven't found anything so far that is in opposition to what I have posted recently. Excep being realised Ramana doesn't interfere with freewill so tends to suggest not command. Om Namah Sivaya......Tony
