Guest guest
A Golden Age of Spirituality and Nonviolence -- Nuggets of Wisdom ________ The satsang was based on verses by Sant Darshan Singh Ji Maharaj. The verses stated that one cannot describe the love flowing out from the Divine Cupbearer; one can only experience it. Sant Rajinder Singh Ji Maharaj spoke about the ineffable nature of spirituality -- how no talking, reading, or intellectual thought can help us grow spiritually -- only receptivity helps. Over and over again, in a multiplicity of ways, Sant Rajinder Singh Ji told of the inexplicable aspect of spirituality, saying that it has nothing to do with matter, nor with our languages, which were designed to explain matter and material relationships. Words cannot adequately explain spirituality. ________ Sant Darshan Singh Ji had written: May your passion, your zeal, your heart and your vision transcend the horizons of your dreams. And may the intense desire of your love remain ever alive. May glimpses of a new determination shine through your eyes, And may your goblet overflow with the multicolored wine of ecstasy. Maharaj Ji commented, "Our passion to know God should be so strong that we can get to God, that our heart be so filled with the love of God that it can pour out to everyone else, and that our vision be such that when we see someone we are seeing God peeping our of their eyes. Let God be so gracious that we be fortunate enough to not only experience the Light, but let the Light shine from us. Let us be one who brings the goodwill of God's love, and God's way and the way back to God to many, many others." ________ In his address, Sant Rajinder Singh Ji Maharaj told everyone of Sant Kirpal Singh Ji Maharaj's prophecy in 1974, when Sant Kirpal Singh Ji stated that he could see the rays of the golden age. Maharaj Ji further said that, "I hope that the new millennium will be the age of love, which will culminate in love for all forms of life, when each and everyone will be filled with love for God. Then, every human being will care about each other, irrespective of their status in life." Maharaj Ji talked about humanity's hopes for a new age and prayed that it be an age of nonviolence, love, truthfulness, humility, selfless service, of vegetarianism and of meditation -- an age which will bring peace, happiness and joy to all of us. He explained how we, as individuals, need to attain inner peace and by having peace within ourselves, we can help transform the world into a peaceful one. This inner peace, he said, could only be achieved through meditation. ________ In his concluding talk Maharaj Ji took up another poem of Sant Darshan Singh Ji entitled, "Greetings to You, O New Year." It is the prayer by the Master for an era of love, light, peace and compassion. Some verses from it are: Life itself is restless for peace in the world. Let its noble dream materialize. May the garden be illumined with wave after wave of Light. May the wealth of love grow greater and greater and enrich every heart. ________ _________________ To get your own FREE ZDNet Onebox - FREE voicemail, email, and fax, all in one place - sign up today at http://www.zdnetonebox.com
