i will sing to you

 

why will i sing for

 

i do not know except to say that

 

only you make me sing

 

the divine loves the particular

 

the particular loves the divine

 

each mirroring, mirroring each

 

you are the one flower among all flowers

 

that catches my blind eye of my divine mind’s inner eye

 

that fascinates my deeply profane heart’s deeper inner core

 

you are the first blue rose to blossom among all the old roses

 

you are the first snow lily to shatter the terrifying ice of my brittle past

 

did i create the snow lily or is it that you are always here in my bright dreams

 

i am the last snow lily to blossom in the wonderful dream within the true dream of you

 

you are the first snow lily to awaken all that is not into all that

is and will be forever

 

we endlessly seek each other dreaming of the true dream within the true dreaming

 

i am last spring’s last wild flower to blossom after melting the winter snow

 

i am nothing if you are not a new fragrance tenderly arising in a new us

 

 

 

what, my beloved reader,

 

 

did you dream me into something or did i dream you out of nothing

 

it matters not, nor matters it, we are it and all that it is is all that matters
