Chapter Eighteen , from Sri Ramana Gita

ON THE GLORY OF THE SIDDHAS

{ composed by Ramana's disciple, Vasishta Ganapati }

5. With his pure , effulgent rays he clears , like the Sun ,

in due season , the dulness of his devotees.

He is an inexhaustable mine of auspicious qualities.

6 . In speech he is extremely soft , in look cool and

compassionate ; his face is like a full-blown lotus ;

his mind is a void like a moon in daylight;

he shines in the heart as the Sun in the sky.

7. Pitiless to his body , strict in the observance of

discipline , wholly averse to the delights of the senses,

he is a Sage without anger or desire , beside himself

with the joy of pure awareness.
