Guest guest
Hi Wolf, >dog's don't >smile or do they....this one does!) Yes, when I was a kid, my dog smiled. When I came home from school, she came running down the sidewalk to greet me, wagging her whole rear end and smiling. When I went to college and then got married, she stayed at home with my parents. We got a new puppy and took him with us to visit my parents one weekend. After that, he smiled too... he'd learned from her. No path goes nowhere. Paths, places, sights, perceptions, and indeed all experiences arise from and exist in and subside back into the Space of Awareness. Like waves rising are not different than the ocean, all things arising from Awareness are of the nature of Awareness. Awareness does not come and go but is always Present. It is Home. Guest guest
Hi Wolf, >....always read & love your posts....full of deep wisdom and joy.... I love your poetry too. >i guess >being a mad and crazy dog i have dogs (a dog, jasper by name) on the >brain...my current dog is my first genuine all american pound puppy or >mutt.... They say mutts make the best pets... purebreeds tend to have various problems. >got him when he was as big as my hand....for the first week i >carried him everywhere....he slept curled around my neck at night..... I had two kittens who liked to do that... still doing it when they were full-grown. I used to wake up with a big cat on either shoulder. ) >he is >part dachsund and part australian shepherd....can never figure out if he >wants to hunt or to herd..... My first dog that smiled was part shepherd, though not big... a smart dog! The new puppy came from a farm but looked like pictures of Newfoundland retrievers. He used to go off with the beagle next door... they'd go a mile away to a pond to swim together, then come home again. Sometimes they walked along with the beagle right under him, walking inside his legs... a pretty funny sight! ))) >although he does not know it he is soon going >to move all the way (three weeks or so) to holland with me to join his new >family there (against all odds of probabity, Mirror and white wolfe are >building a bridge spanning the distance between California and The >Netherlands).....maybe he knows....he is sitting at my feet looking at me >and i think he is smiling....at least he is like me in that his tail is >almost always wagging....^^~~~~ That's a dog's usual smile, I think. My dog did a real pull-back-the-corners-of-the-mouth smile... must have copied us. And the pup learned from her. One of my cats may have smiled a little... not sure whether it was that or just from crinkling his eyes to smile. >p.s. are you in Los Angeles.... Yes, the P.O. is Los Angeles, though I'm actually in Mar Vista. >may be making a trip down there before i >leave the U.S. to visit relatives....would be nice to meet? Yes, wonderful!! My daughter and her two boys are coming on June 23, but it sounds like you'll be coming through before then. I'll send you my address and phone number, and you can let me know when you're coming.
