as a white wolfe sits

“….in the stillness is the dancing….”

T.S. Eliot

sat

if you sit as a white wolfe sits

in the silver surface of pure waters

you will see at first movement

white clouds drifting wild and free

purposelessly fulfilling their purpose

disappearing into emptiness

water arising into water

floating down into stillness

stillness quickening into

running water

endlessly

still water

as a white wolfe sees life dancing in water

chit

if you breathe as a white wolfe breathes

in the invisible shifting currents

you will smell at first nothing

waiting to smell if there is movement

breathe or no breathe upon the wind

an intruder intruding or no intruder intruding

wind or no wind upon breath or no breath

lusty males rutting with musky females

pollinating seeds germinating seeds falling

floating a ethers

effortlessly

stillness loving

as a white wolfe smells love’s sweet incense in wind

ananda

if you hear as a white wolfe hears

in the dawn you will hear your beginning

you will hear out of nothing the first cry of love

singing in the choiring birds of dawn

at noon in the purple passion canticle of courting

buzzings and bellowings of bugs and beasts

in the twilight you will hear your ending

lovers serenading to lovers in the gloaming

at midnight you will hear god

stars caroling

endlessly

silence loving

if you sit as a white wolfe, just sit, breathe, and listen

ananda, chit, sat

you will see as a white wolfe sees

in the mirror on the water you will see nothing

beneath the water you will see the beloved laughing

in the scent of your own breath you will smell nothing

you will discover that your beloved is both without and within

hearing in the silent music, the music of silence, again nothing

you will hear the backbeat of the beloved’s love of love arising

beyond the movement and noise you will find the beloved laughing

in the mirror on the water you will see your still self dancing

as his beloved sees white wolfe, white wolfe sees his beloved as

divinity impregnating all creatures all impregnating divinity

sat, chit, ananda

in the movement is the beloved, in the beloved is the stillness

endlessly running, effortlessly floating effortlessly, caroling endlessly

here, now, there, then, tomorrow, everywhere and always forever

beloved, i come from you, i belong to you, i return to you

i am your bright mirror, mira, you are my dark mirror, beloved

endlessly and without effort, without effort and endlessly

forever, i am you, forever, you are me, forever

in the stillness is movement, in movement is the beloved

sat, chit, ananda, ananda , chit, sat

if you sit as white wolfe sits, you will love as white wolfe loves

still i am yours, beloved, and still you are mine
