Namaste' folks,

You have already said things well - a couple of other

points to consider....

You had to learn to identify with name and form when you

were a child - it was supported by your parents, family and society to

such an extent that it seemed/seems 'natural' ...

When you attend the wake of a 'friend' - there is a body

there- where is your 'friend'? Is the body an aspect of ego? Isn't it

also 'tool' used in life?

identification is separation

freedom blossoms

in the heart of the one

who realizes that

no amount of identification

could possibly separate him

from his inseparable nature.

On the other hand, when you turn in the other direction, identification is

unity. DK said that identification is the technique of the higher

initiations. :)

yes, beloved dharma....poetry was the first thing that drew mira and i

together....she wrote the odd numbered lines and i the even...but you

should be able to tell that.....mira's sytle is clean, post modern and

succinct....i am an effusive bleeding heart neo-romantic.....but somehow we

connect and deeply.....even beyond words.....^^~~~~~

Hi Dharma,

Yes in the other direction identification is Unity but

'identifying' it as Unity is separation.

And yet, the 'spirit' of what you said is true beyond words -

That is Unity.
